Throwback: Celebrating Ritchmen’s 50th Anniversary!

On Thursday, 16 July 2026, we closed the counter early, put up the gold balloons and celebrated a very special milestone: 50 years of Ritchmen!

It was wonderful to celebrate this milestone together with the partners, vendors and customers who have supported us over the years. With plenty of laughter, familiar faces and a lively lion dance, it was an afternoon to remember.

The drums kicked in, two lion dance lions made their way through the warehouse, weaving between the shelves, with the God of Fortune following behind and handing out mandarin oranges along the way. Lively afternoon!

And of course, there was plenty of food. We had Thai-style seafood pineapple fried rice with chicken floss, braised beancurd with mushrooms, and Peranakan-style barramundi, with plenty of desserts to finish things off.

The buffet stayed busy, and everyone had time to eat, chat and enjoy the afternoon together.

A proper feast for a very special 50th birthday!

For some of our team, it was finally a chance to meet the customers they usually only spoken to over the phone. Mr Quek also got to catch up with many familiar faces, including customers who have been with Ritchmen for years.

There were plenty of handshakes, hugs, laughter and old stories being shared. After 50 years, it really did feel less like a customer event and more like a gathering of old friends!

Fifty years in business comes down to fifty years of people.

Thank you to everyone who came down, and to everyone who sent flowers, messages and good wishes but could not make it in person. We felt every bit of it.
